Cambodia expects to attract some 4.7 million foreign tourists, 5 million, and 7.5 million or 8 million in 2014, 2015 and 2020, respectively. In 2013, Cambodia received 4.2 million foreign visitors, 76% from Asia Pacific, 16% from Europe and others from US.

".. in addition to foreign visitors, local tourists also increased by 3%, that is, about 7 million people, which generated about US$2.54 billion income or 15.5 percent of GDP." - Dr. Thong Khon, Minister of Tourism.
Tourism sector has generated jobs for about 620,000 people and the number will increase to 850,000 people by 2020.
