The public bus service pilot project in Phnom Penh will continue for another month. Its' Municipality is planning to expand the service on two more boulevards namely Kampuchea Krom and Mao Tse-Tung; in addition to Preah Monivong Blvd which operates from 530am to 800pm at US0.37 per trip.
The public bus service pilot project in Phnom Penh will continue for another month. Its' Municipality is planning to expand the service on two more boulevards namely Kampuchea Krom and Mao Tse-Tung; in addition to Preah Monivong Blvd which operates from 530am to 800pm at US0.37 per trip.
This project is aimed to reduce traffic accidents and traffic congestion and to change the Cambodians’ habit from using personal cars to public buses, while the number of cars in Phnom Penh now reached 300,000 and that of motorbikes 1 million.
