Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports led a meeting of 20 national sports federations to determine potential sports for 2014. Priorities are given to sports used to get medals and the most popular games. The selection aims to identify 20 sports, 196 male and 59 female athletes, 55 coaches and 22 inspectors. Those selected are supposed to stay together from Apr. 1 to Nov. 30, 2014 to undergo comprehensive practice and training. They will have opportunities to join Asian Games, 2nd Youth Olympic Games, and University Game this year and SEA Games next year.
