Cambodia and Thailand are set
to have a new international border crossing on National Road 5, linking Banteay
Meanchey province and Thailand’s Sa Kaeo province. In December, Cambodia and
Thai agreed to triple bilateral trade to $15 billion a year by 2020. And it is
expected to get a boost when the rail line connecting Phnom Penh and Bangkok is
completed. This is expected to occur by the end of this year.
