British Ambassador Tries Phnom Penh Public Bus

2 February 2015

British Ambassador to Cambodia took a trip yesterday morning on a busy, but not overcrowded, Phnom Penh city bus, and he called on and encouraged people to use this public bus service.

Currently, the Phnom Penh Municipality has been constructing 34 out of the total 86 bus stop shelters along the three public bus lines – Line 1 of some 17 kilometers starts from Kilometer No. 9 in Khan Russey Keo; Line 2 of about 14 kilometers from the Night Market to Takhmao town, Kandal province; and Line 3 of over 15 kilometers from the Night Market to Choam Chao. And it will increase public bus lines to 18, or almost across the capital city.
