The Royal Government of Cambodia aims to
promote the export of some more products in the potential sectors like
agriculture, fisheries, manufacturing, light industry, tourism, silk, and so on.
Among the least developed countries, Cambodia
is a biggest and fastest trade partner of Canada since 2000. Cambodia exported
goods to Canada with a total value of US$698 million in 2013 with an annual
growing rate of about 21% in the last five years. The Bangkok-based Canadian
Ambassador to Cambodia said that a Canadian business delegation has been
looking forward to strengthening and expanding the trade and investment
cooperation with Cambodia, stressing that Canada still provides GSP for goods
imported from Cambodia in order to boost the trade cooperation between both
countries.
