Brunei has
imported 3,003 metric tons of Jasmine rice from Baitang, Cambodia, said the
Supply and State Stores Department, Ministry of Finance.
The rice
imports will help strengthen the nation's food security, department officials
said in a press briefing in Gadong on Monday. The Jasmine rice from Cambodia
will be sold at $12.50 per bag (10kg) and will be available in various stores
nationwide this August.
