Willowbrook,
a U.S.-based company is exploring investment in the 200 MW/250 MW solar energy
plant in Cambodia.
The
company is seeking the approval from the Ministry of Mines and Energy to
proceed with the investment of this project, which is estimated to cost around
US$400 million. If approved, the project is scheduled to commence in 015 and is
expected to be completed by the end of 2017.
If this
project was approved, the company will need some 500 hectares and expected to
generate some 394 million kWh per year.
