The Cambodian Red Cross (CRC)
has donated US$1 million to Dr. Beat Richner, Founder and President of Kantha
Bopha Foundation, to support the humanitarian activities of Kantha Bopha
Children’s Hospitals.
The donation handover ceremony
was held on Wednesday at the CRC’s headquarters in Phnom Penh in the presence
of CRC President and Minister of Health. The CRC president expressed her
appreciation to Kantha Bopha Children’s Hospitals for their efforts in treating
Cambodian children, especially the poor ones. This is the third donation from
CRC to the Kantha Bopha Children’s Hospitals. For his part, Dr. Beat Richner
thanked profoundly CRC for its assistance to the hospitals, which has treated
over 80% of the Cambodian children.
