The Ministry of Foreign
Affairs and International Cooperation (MFA-IC) of Cambodia welcomes the
decision of the Government of China to discharge water from Jinghong Hydropower
Station in Yunnan province to downstream Mekong River for emergency use. China has
discharged 2,300 million m3 of water to help alleviate the impacts of
drought sustained by countries at the Mekong River areas.
