Cambodia, Mongolia Agree on Establishment of Bilateral Consultations

5 May 2014

Cambodia’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MFA-IC) and Mongolia’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) have agreed to establish bilateral consultations. A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on Establishment of Bilateral Consultations between the two ministries has been inked.

Both sides agree to boost the cooperation not only at the governmental level, but also at the parliamentary level.

Moreover, the Cambodian top diplomat suggested a visit of a group of Mongolian businessmen to Cambodia to learn about the country’s investment potential and to meet with Cambodia Chamber of Commerce in order to reach any agreement aiming at increasing the bilateral trade volume and tourism cooperation between the two countries.

Cambodia and Mongolia established their diplomatic ties in 1961. They reached an agreement on visa exemption for diplomatic and official passport holders in 2012.
