The National Center for Parasitology, Entomology and Malaria Control
(CNM) of the Ministry of Health is planning to provide 400 tons of Abate
substance in 2014 up from 350 tons last year.
CNM has set aside 400 tons of Abate to put in jars of local residents
across the country to prevent this mosquito-borne disease in the upcoming rainy
season. According to the figures of the Ministry of Health, in the first 15
weeks of 2014, 269 cases of dengue fever have been reported in Cambodia, down
85% from 1,779 cases during the same period last year. Among the cases this
