The China Higher Education Exhibition was held on 22 May at the
Confucius Institute of the Royal Academy of Cambodia with the participation of
22 Chinese higher education institutions.
The event, the 2nd of
its kind, is aimed at encouraging Cambodian students to study in China as well
at promoting the education cooperation between the two countries.
Presided over the opening ceremony, Deputy Prime Minister Sok An laid stress on the
significance of the exhibition, saying that it will contribute not only to
enhancing the quality and efficiency of human resource development in Cambodia,
but also to boosting the education cooperation between Cambodia and China.
The Cambodian DPM also took the opportunity to thank China for granting
scholarships to Cambodian students. Currently, some 1,400 Cambodian students
are pursuing their studies in different majors in China.
