The State Secretariat of Civil Aviation says
three more airlines will apply for an Air Operator Certificate over the first
quarter of 2015.
At least one airline will submit its AOC
application early this year and two more will follow. The new airlines are
backed by investors from China and Taiwan. “The airlines are small to medium
operators. They have at least two aircraft.” The new airlines will join the
growing number of Chinese-backed fliers in Cambodia, that includes Bassaka Air,
Apsara International Air and Bayon Airlines, all of which received their AOC’s
last year.
