Cambodia’s rice industry has
been advised by the European Union (EU) to seek other markets and not just
concentrate its exports to Europe. There are calls within the industry to
diversify the market and concentrate on exports of jasmine and organic rice. There
are higher profit margins in the export of organic rice, with prices more stable
than non-organic rice in the marketplace.
