Revenue collected by the
customs and excise department jumped nearly 20% during the first six months of
the year, compared with the same period a year earlier. General director of the
General Department of Customs and Excise (GDCE) had collected $883 million this
year, 19.4% year-on-year increase and more than 55% of its target as outlined
in the 2016 national budget.
