Maybank
Cambodia Plc said it inaugurated a new branch in Takhmao on Wednesday and
planned to establish another four branches in Cambodia this year.
The
opening of this new branch reflects our mission of humanising financial
services and our long term commitment to support the economic development of
the country, particularly its City Development Strategy for the capital of
Phnom Penh and its surrounding areas identified as secondary centers. "Our
presence in Takhmao will provide opportunities to people in Takhmao and its
surrounding to enjoy easy access as well as convenient and safe banking services."
The deposits
at the Malaysian bank's 16 branches in Cambodia grew 40% in 2013. In addition
to Phnom Penh, the bank also has branches in Battambang, Kampong Cham, Siem
Reap, Sihanoukville and Sisophon.
