The value of approved commercial
construction projects more than doubled to 1,753 projects worth $7.2 billion in
the first eight months of this year, compared to 2,305 projects worth $3.3
billion in all of last year. Between 2000 and August of this year, foreign
investment in 284 projects totaled $4.2 billion.
