According to Mr. Ros Phirun, deputy director of the
finance industry department at the Ministry of Economy and Finance, NagaWorld
paid about $15 million in taxes last year. Cambodia’s new casino law will tighten
a loosely regulated industry and would provide a legal framework to ensure the
growing industry is more transparent and complies with international standards.
