Tax collection in the first
eight months of the year rose to $1.07 billion, up to about 75.69 percent
compared to the same period last year. According to the media statement, 22.6 percent
from revenue taxes, while 25.8 percent from salary taxes, 21.9 percent of the
$1.07 billion from value-added tax, and 22.1 percent from special taxes.
