Trade data
from the US shows Cambodian exports to the world’s largest economy increased 6%
during the first six months of the year.
As of 30 June,
Cambodian exports to the US totaled $1.4 billion, up from $1.32 billion
recorded during the same six-month period in 2013, data from the US Department
of Commerce shows. Spokesman of Cambodian Ministry of Commerce, said that while
US economy continues to stabilize, business relations with Cambodia have
remained positive and provided a secure basis for deepening bilateral trade.
Director General
of Cambodian Chamber of Commerce, who will lead a delegation of 21
representatives from the Kingdom’s private sector to the US later this month,
said that more markets can still be identified to boost trade volumes.
