In the
first six months of this year, the bilateral trade volume between Cambodia and
Thailand was equivalent to over US$3,000 million.
In the
last three years, the trade between the two neighboring nations saw an annual
28% rise despite their border dispute. Thailand is the 8th place to conduct
investment in Cambodia. In 2012, the bilateral trade volume between the two
countries reached more than US$4,000 million, up 40% from US$2,800 million in
2011, but in 2013 the bilateral trade enjoyed only a slight rise to US$5,000
million.
Cambodia
exported mostly agricultural products such as rice, corn, cassava, sesame and
fisheries products, and second hand garments, while purchased from Thailand
gasoline, agricultural fertilizer, cements, food supplies, refreshment, fruits
and cosmetics.
