Japan,
with its Boeing 767-300ER, will officially begin its commercial direct flight
to Cambodia in September this year. The regular direct flight will encourage
more Japanese tourists and investors to Cambodia.
The
Japan-Cambodia direct flight will be divided into two routes the Phnom Penh
Narita (Japan’s international airport) to start on 2 Sept 2014 with three
flights a week (Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays), and the Siem Reap-Narita to
begin on 1 Oct 2014 with four flights per week (Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays,
Saturdays).
Through
the Asia Atlantic Airlines, the Cambodian tourism minister called on the
Japanese investors to come and invest in Cambodia’s tourism sector, stressing
that Cambodia has in total 700 Japanese-speaking tour guides.
