Cambodia’s
milled rice export reached some 177,928 tons in the first half of this year or
up 1% if compared to the same period last year.
Up to now,
Cambodia has about 84 rice exporter companies operating rice shipment to some
46 countries around the world. The country’s main foreign markets are France,
Poland, the Netherlands, Malaysia, Czech Republic, and China.
Last year,
the country exported 379,000 tons of milled rice, an increase by 84% over the
previous year. Cambodia has set a goal to export at least one million tons of
milled rice by 2015.
