Cambodia Has US$46 Million of Budget Surplus in 2012

Cambodia got over US$46 million of budget surplus in 2012, according to the draft law on general state budget settlement in 2012 approved by the 65/65 lawmakers present at the 2nd session of the National Assembly (NA) of the 5th legislature on Tuesday.

The NA Commission for Economy, Finance, Banking and Audit said in 2012, Cambodia earned about 12,284,286.6 million Riel and spent some 12,097,267.6 million Riel, therefore, the country had some 187,019 million Riel, equivalent to US$46,754,750 of budget surplus.

The 2012 national budget was implemented in the period when the government was struggling to carry out development and reform programs in all sectors.
