The National Social Security Fund (NSSF) launched an
initiative to provide health insurance to the nation’s workforce. NSSF official said that by the middle of this year, enterprises in the country
with more than seven employees will be required to pay into the fund to support
the health care initiative. NSSF counts more than 880,000 employees at
6,107 firms as members. NSSF hopes 900,000 will be part of the health care
scheme.
