Cambodia, Seychelles sign 6 deals to pave way for cooperation

17 October 2014

Cambodia and Seychelles on Thursday inked six documents to pave the way for bilateral cooperation in the fields of politics, trade, investment, tourism, agriculture, and air services.

Seychelles sees Cambodia as a rising star in the Southeast Asian nations. "Cambodia had a very difficult past, but it has built a very bright future." The establishment of cooperation between Seychelles and Cambodia would offer opportunity to connect Southeast Asia to Africa. Seychelles is heavily dependent on imports, will consider buying quality food products from Cambodia to feed its tourism industry, which is the island-state's key driver of growth.
