10 April 2014
Prime Minister Hun Sen
said today that he and Sam Rainsy agreed to choose Sunday of third week of
February 2017 and 2018 for the commune and national elections respectively.
However, he added that Kem Sokha disagreed.
Speaking at graduation
ceremony, he said he and Sam Rainsy had 44-minute phone talk yesterday and
agreed on the new dates for the elections. However, he added that Sam Rainsy
later on informed him that Kem Sokha, who is currently abroad, disagreed.
Hun Sen also warned
that if no agreement will be reached by 11 April 2014, don’t blame him,
Cambodian People’s Party or Sam Rainsy because it is the mistake of Kem Sokha.
