Siem Reap province is
expected to draw from 200,000 to 300,000 tourists during three-day Khmer New
Year from 14-16 April, according to the Department of Tourism. The Department said
that some 170,000 tourists visited Siem Reap last year during New Year.
The figure was made
following the reports provided by guesthouses, hotels, and tourism agencies adding
that Siem Reap authorities are ready to welcome those visitors who will be
served well including the hotel services and food with reasonable prices.
Besides huge numbers
of tourists expected to visit Siem Reap, coastal province Sihanoukville is also
expected to draw about 100,000 tourists while the province received 900,000
visitors last year.
