Cambodia Exempts Customs Fees for Milled Rice Exports

Cambodia’s Ministry of Economy and Finance has recently announced to exempt the customs fees for milled rice exports to boost the sector so as to achieve the country’s target of exporting 1 million tons of milled rice export by 2015. The exemption of rice customs fees will come into force from 1 May 2014 onward.

Last year, Cambodia exported nearly 400,000 tons of milled rice to the international markets, up 84 percent over 2012.
