Cambodia’s Enterprises Increase by 11% in 2014

Cambodia has in total 514,278 enterprises by 2014, an increase by 50,915, or 11% if compared to the previous census in 2011. The enterprise density per square kilometer is 2.8, show the results.

The census provides rich data on enterprise situation in Cambodia, including the number of enterprises in each province and municipality, the number of enterprises among 1,000 people and 1,000 families, the number of people and families in an enterprise and so on. The 2014 Cambodia Inter Censal Economic Survey, conducted from 1 to 31 March 2014 by the National Institute of Statistics of the Ministry of Planning, spent approximately US$300,000, of which some US$192,000 funded by the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) and some US$32,564 provided by the Government of Japan, and US$71,798 from the Royal Government of Cambodia’s budget.
