Cambodia’s Tax Revenue Increases by 42.2% in August

In August, the General Department of Taxation (GDT) of the Ministry of Economy and Finance collected some US$98.4 million as tax revenue, up 42.2% if compared to the same period last year.

According to a press release of the GDT’s monthly meeting held here yesterday, the tax revenue earnings during the first eight months of 2014 saw an increase by 19% over the same period last year. The increase was reported in all sectors, said the press release by referring to financial service, architecture and construction, refreshment, household appliances, garment, hotels and guest houses, real estate, import-export, telecommunications, tobacco, stationary, food production, and so on.
