Cambodia Becomes a Member of ILO’s Administration Council

Cambodia is registered as a member of administration council of the International Labor Organization (ILO).

This is the first history that Cambodia received such the honor, which has derived from the efforts of the Royal Government of Cambodia so far. “Such the success informs the world that Cambodia has a good working condition in the world,” said the Minister of Labor and Vocational Training. Being ILO’s member showed the world about rights and freedom of work sector in Cambodia, including vocational training, rights to demonstration and strike as well as rights for expression of employees and employer and so on.

According to the ILO’s report, in 2013, the rate of unemployment was the lowest, only 0.3% in Cambodia, compared with the ASEAN countries. ILO’s administration council has in total 18 countries.
