Ten
Cambodian students from seven different high schools have won the 2014 Global
Enterprise Challenge (GEC). The Cambodian team won two trophies at the same
time, including the Asia Pacific Trophy and the GEC’s World Trophy.
The 2014
GEC was attended by students between 16 and 19 years of age, from 37 high
schools of 16 countries around the globe Australia, Brunei, Cambodia, Canada,
Germany, Japan, Mexico, the Philippines and the United States. The GEC is an
annual online international enterprise skill competition for high school
students. This is the third year that Cambodia has participated in the GEC
through the sponsors of Cambodia-Japan Cooperation Center (CJCC).
CJCC’s
Director said that the GEC contest helps developing human resources and
provides participating students with the opportunity to strengthen their
knowledge and experience in running businesses, especially to get ready for the
upcoming 2015 ASEAN economic integration.
