Japan has extended
approximately US$2.4 billion as financial assistance to the Royal Government of
Cambodia from 1992 to 2013.
Japan’s financial aid to
Cambodia accounted for some 16% of the development partners’ total financial
assistance to Cambodia. Japan has been playing a main role in the development
of Cambodia. In 2013, Japan provided a total of US$156 million to Cambodia,
including US$113 million in grant aid and US$43 million in concessional loan,
and Cambodia is expected to get a similar amount this year.
