Cambodia Expects US$30 million to Cope with Climate Change

Cambodia is expecting a grant aid of approximately US$30 million to cope with the impacts of climate change which is continuing to cause weather imbalance in the country.

According to UNDP Cambodia Country Director, Cambodia has been listed among 116 countries prone to climate change given its heavy dependency on agricultural products. Cambodia is not yet adaptive enough to the climate change and its resilience to irregular weather incidents caused by the global threat is needed.

Undersecretary of State, Ministry of Environment, highlighted in the workshop that Cambodia has witnessed the shift in the temperature and rainfall in the last 50 years.
