Event management firm,
MyEvents International, is eyeing Cambodia as the next lucrative market after
strengthening its foothold in India and the Middle East, group chief executive
officer, said.
The first major event being
planned in Cambodia is the Malaysian Retail Franchise Expo. He said similar
events are also being planned for Vietnam and in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, where the
company has already established itself. Besides these places, MyEvents has
offices in Dubai and Qatar. "Whatever we do, we would like to link it back
to Malaysia. We want to do 60 % of Malaysia related events and 40 % purely
offshore."
There are risk factors both in
the domestic and overseas markets, said group chief executive officer, pointing
out that the initial cost in expanding overseas is the feasibility study.
