The Royal Government of
Cambodia (RGC) has provided over one billion Riel (about US$250.000) to
Cambodian disabled athletes who had won medals in the 7th ASEAN Para
Games in Nay Pyi Taw , Myanmar.
Cambodia dispatched 33
disabled athletes and coaches to join in the event from 11-21 January 2014 for
the contest of marathon, swimming, and sitting volleyball and so on. Cambodian
athletes won a total of 3 gold, 11 silver, and 5 bronze medals.
The winners of gold medals
received 40 million Riel (about US$10,000), of silver medals 30 million Riel
(about US$7,500) and bronze medals 16 million Riel (about US$4,000).
